The 28th European Nitrogen Cycle meeting brought together more than 70 participants from institutions in 13 countries at the Centre for Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science (CeMESS), University of Vienna.
The meeting was highlighted by fantastic keynote lectures from Laura Bristow (opening lecture), Jörg Hartig, Jan Jansa, Sofia Pauleta, Sung-Keun Rhee, Leonid Sazanov, Barth Smets, Kendra Turk-Kubo, and Tristan Wagner, and featured excellent presentations on a broad range of topics in microbial nitrogen cycling.
The meeting concluded with the CoE Microplanet closing lecture by Jan Willem Erisman (Leiden University) on “Nitrogen: past, present and future”.
We warmly thank all speakers and participants for their contributions, which made ENC28 a truly inspiring event.
